Baked Potato With Minced Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tbsp paprika powder
  • ½ tbsp dried oregano
  • 400g minced meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 500g tomato sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Grated mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped spring onion
  • Additional dried oregano for garnish
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Step of Potatoes And Mince Beef Recipe

  • Prepare Potatoes:
    • Cut the potatoes into half-moon shapes.
  • Pan-Fry Potatoes:
    • Heat 3 tbsp of olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
    • Add the cut potatoes to the pan and cover with a lid.
    • Fry for 15 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown.
  • Season Potatoes:
    • Add salt, pepper, paprika powder, and dried oregano to the potatoes.
    • Fry for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to Baking Dish:
    • Place the seasoned potatoes into a baking dish.
  • Prepare Minced Meat Mixture:
    • In the same pan, add 2 tbsp of olive oil.
    • Add the minced meat and fry for 5 minutes.
    • Add the chopped onion and fry for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Add Tomato Sauce:
    • Pour in 500g of tomato sauce.
    • Season with salt, pepper, dried oregano, and minced garlic cloves.
    • Cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Assemble and Bake:
    • Pour the minced meat mixture over the potatoes in the baking dish, ensuring even distribution.
    • Spread grated mozzarella cheese on top.
    • Sprinkle chopped spring onion and additional dried oregano for garnish.
    • Drizzle olive oil over the top.
    • Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  • Serve:
    • Once baked, let it cool slightly before serving.
